arrows to short
I bought some new arrows, axis 400 I had them cut the same as my old arrows
at 263/4" the problem Im having is the axis are cut a hair to short and without the normal broad head insert on other arrows my broad heads are hitting the shelf. Im useing a tko fallaway. I was wandering if the broadhead adapter for the axis would give me the needed clearence. I f not I would have to go to a mech but which one? If it comes to that I was thinking of the rocket xp. Any suggestions. |
RE: arrows to short
an arrow stretcher....................
I would be nervous using anything except the right length arrow, see if you can sell them and get another set, I dont know that I would try to modify them by adding anything or switching broadheads. |

The arrow is a inch past the rest when at full draw, its just that the broadhead blades hit the shelf before the fallaway rest is in the up position. I might be able to shorten the cord on the rest so it comes up sooner but then it might not fall right. This rest is suppose to come up on the last two inches of your draw and thats how I have it set now. |
RE: arrows to short
Try shortening the pick up cable just a tad so it comes up the last 2 1/4" of the draw.

RE: arrows to short
OK, I understand now, I would go with what Ausie suggested, that way your still in the game, and it should not make much difference with that 1/4 inch, but I would not go much farther on my rest lift.
