My backyard targets generally range from around 60 feet to about 180 feet away.;)

think about it.... when youre hunting are you going to judge the distance in feet ? probably not...probably yards;):).....you want to set your target up and shoot from different ranges(yards)....;)

Theoretically in yards....in reality it's stepped off. I don't use a rangefinder and I'm not in the habit of measuring things in woods, so I step things off whether for practice or hunting.

20 yards most of the time. I practice out to 40 some though.

20 and 30 yards, but i also have a treestand build in my backyard with a clothes line pulley and i attach the target to that, lets me shoot from 10 yards all the way out to 30.

My range is 80 yards long. I spend 75% of my time shooting from 50 to 60 yards. I love shooting at long distances. Makes the short hunting and 3D shots seem like pot shots.

I have a 3D fox I shoot out to 60, a deer that I shoot out to 80. Fun stuff once you get used to it.

The distance to any target is in both feet and yards:D;) I prefer inches myself, makes it seem much farther away. Anyone can make a 15 yd shot. But tell someone you made a 540" shot and that just sounds way more impressive;)[8D]:D

Mine are footsteps. Approxamately one step equals one yard as I use this method when setting up my stand in the bush.
My targets here in the yard is a 20 yard 3-d deer target, 13 yrd black hole target ( broadheads mostly) and a 30 yrd Morrell target that I have an elk burlap target drapped over it. Bobby;)

I like to set it out to about 3 km here in Ontario Canada! it's hard to judge that distance in the woods though.......LOL

In my yard I shoot from about 10 yards to 50 yards when practicing from the ground. When I'm practicing from elevated I usually shoot from straight down(one or two yards) to 35 yards.

I have 25, 30, 40, 50 yards & know my current set up with broadheads shoots 28 yds. b/4 any change in my closest pin setting.

mines set at about 30yds. i dont measure i step it off so its "around" 30yds. but its a good practice distance for me and i can move it closer or farther if needed

Mine goes out to 33 yrds, only because that is all the room I have in my backyard.
