What's the perfect job for whitetail hunters!
I have been hunting for years and haven't been able to find that perfect job. If there is a hunter out there with the job I need, then lets hear about it!

RE: What's the perfect job for whitetail hunters!
I'm the Senior Patrol Supervisor on a mid sized PD in ND, in some of the best deer hunting, waterfowling, and fishing there is. I work three shifts, any of which allow time for morning or evening hunts before work. As I hunt on my own farmstead or within a couple miles of it, this works out nicely. Being the most senior officer,I get priority on vacation, so I've reserved 2 weeks minimum to hunt the rut every Fall, and have for years. Due to seniority, I accrue enough vacation to take 5-6 weeks off a year, yet still carry over the max hours allowable at the end of the year. Get paid pretty darn well, too, Took a while to build up the seniority, but man, was it worth it...

As a doc, flexitime is relatively easily arranged. Pity I don't earn anything while chasing all that wildlife . I guess that's the tradeoff for taking life instead of saving them !

I would say your best bet is to hit the lottery! That way you don't have to work, wich almost leaves more than enough time to hunt.

Offshore roustabout, 7 days on 7 days off.
Self-employed CPA, Lawyer, or other business, you set your own hours.
Pro baseball player, you are off during hunting season.
Free Spirit/Goof Off - you do what you want
Professional Politician - No work, good pay, good perks (Monica, Air Force One, run of place on any Federal or State Lands, etc.) lots of free time.
Equipment field tester for Cabela's - tough job but someone has to do it.

I have the best job. I'm a crop consultant. I start work in March and finish in mid August. I get to hunt all winter. It also helps when your bride also works. Rick
