My first gobbler
 

Well, I finally did it. On Friday morning, I bowkilled my first ever turkey. He was 15 yards when I shot him, 6:00 a.m. He weighed 20 lbs, 11" beard, and 1 1/2" spurs. I couldn't be prouder. I wasn't in a blind, just kneeling on the ground. WOW! Was that ever exciting. I am most definietly hooked. Hopefully when I get the pics developed, I will try to figure out how to post one.

Congratulations. That definitely is one heck of an accomplishment especially without a blind.
