I'm not trying to be a smart aleck, but what do some of you guys hunt that you need to shoot 75-80LBS?

With my old Bear Whitetail 2 sooting 95 grian muzzys I never had and arrow stop in a deer they all went right through! One even put a hole in the shoulder blade broke two ribs and still fell out the bottom as she ran away! I was only shooting 60 Lbs!

I can't imageing a deer slowing my Magna Tec down much! The only reason I shot 70 LBS last year was thats were my arrows tune the best!

I mainly keep my compound bow set at 70 pounds because that is the max. I keep my hunting setup the same all year, and I only practice at distances with fixed bladed broadheads.

With this setup I'd expect to take an elk at 40 yards, whitetail at 30 yards.

When I'm flinging field points at targets, I usually use my longbow (54 pounds) because I'm really not into changing or adjusting my hunting setup on the compound.
