Bowkilled animal tastes better?

I once was told that a bow killed animal tastes much better than a gun killed animal bc with a bullet, you kill by shock and trauma. but with an arrow, it goes thru the animal(most of the time) and it dies by bleeding out. do you guys/gals know what im saying?

I have heard various things like that, but to be honest I've never been able to tell a difference.

"bc with a bullet, you kill by shock and trauma"

I dont know about that. There have been alot of deer that I have dropped in there tracks and that were dead before they hit the ground using a rifle, and I just cant see much "shock and trauma" in that.

I dont think that killing a deer with a bow is going to make it taste better then if you killed it using a rifle. There are alot of theories out there like this, but I dont think that most of them hold much truth.

well TX, have you ever looked at the hide of a gun killed deer? the holes are all bloodshot and bruised. with a bow, the animal is clean and bled to death.

"the holes are all bloodshot and bruised"

Not always, alot of the time if you hit them in the neck then the bullet seems to pass threw leaving a pretty clean hole.

And just because the animal is "bleed out" with the broadhead dosent mean its going to taste better. That animal has been running around for years (unless your in PA, then months lol) with blooding pumping in and out of its body. So it dosent really matter that the animal was "drained out" with the broadhead faster then it would be if you were using a rifle.

If that makes sense..........
