Don't rule out Merlin. These bows are growing in numbers with the target shooters. I've been shooting a Max 3000 for a year now and have a new one on they way! A real high quality bow and not any more expensive than the other brand names. They have a really cool looking camo to. Check out the link below.

I think all the popular bows will shoot good for you as long as someone who really knows what their doing sets it up for you. Theres nothing worse than spending all that money and finding out later that its the wrong draw lenght or something simple like that.

Ive gotten burned like this before!

I was waiting for PABow to chip in since he knows by bow so well. With regard to making a big jump, this bow was given to me 3 years ago and I have worked to get it shooting pretty well. However, i have not owned it long enough nor am i conditioned enough to be so used to it that a new design would hurt me.

Sounds like i really need to spend some time at the proshop. I will call to see what they carry, etc.
