New student in class
 

I just started bow hunting again this year after taking a 30 year absence.WOW things have changed. Hunted elk for the first time with a bow and can hardly wait for next year.It was the most fun I have had hunting in a long time. This is a great site, I especialy like the stories,information and the fact there is good natured people here from all our great states.

You most certainly don't know this, but your 30 year absence is 1 year MORE than I have been alive. Just turned 29 the other day. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. <img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>

But this IS the best place on the web to be, everyone here is equal, we all want to get a deer, doesn't matter horns, meat, or just a deer, if you got it with a bow, its a trophy! Just don't bring up crossbows ok? Please!

Mouse I am shooting compound this time around. It is a little easier on the shoulder.

Wow! That is a long time to take up bow hunting and then drop it like that.I was wondering did you gun hunt during that period and was it frustration that made you quit just wondering why.

Buckhunter3, The reason I gave up bow hunting was because we always hunted as a family. None of my brothers or Dad were into it so I just quit to hunt with them. I have never stopped hunting just always with a rifle.

Welcome to the board. Most time off I have taken was 2 years for school. At the time I dont think I missed it but now I certainly would.
