Anyone Collect Broadheads?

I've got an old broadhead collection from the late 70's and early 80's. Does anyone else collect broadheads? It's kind of neat to see the differant ones. Let me know if you do.

RE: Anyone Collect Broadheads?

If anyone has ANY broadheads that they are willing to send to us (my husband and I) we use them in a bowhunter education class. There we are able to let the students see the many different types of broadheads that are out there to use. We also use our collection to show the students what is legal or illegal to use in the state of Idaho for big game hunting. If anyone has any old bow equipment (especially damaged equipment) we will gladly take that as well. Thanks and Good Hunting to all. If you need to contact us e-mail us at this address..... thats pretty cool looking my guess is an early mechanical broad head like before they became popular and "hightech" but thats just a guess i have no idea

From looking at it I would not guess it to work like a mechanical head as we see them now.

I would think the back arms are used to just hold the cutting blades out. From the looks of it, it would appear to have a pretty decent sized cutting diamater. Maybe it was an attempt to make a large cutting head that was light and would plane less in the wind. Looks like you could fold the head down to put it into your quiver also.

Just a guess.
