carbon vs. Aluminum Arrows
I recently tried to purchase some arrows and the pro shop told me that with my set up he would recomend that I should go back to aluminum. I have shot easton 371 ACC arrows for years and would like to know any facts in making my decision. Here are my equipment specs. I shoot a PSE SR 500 at 70# with synergy III soft cams with a 31" arrow - 30" draw. I also plan on using a 125gr or 130gr. broadhead. I also use a release aid, and center flipper rest. Right now with Easton ACC 3-71 Arrows I get about 303 FPS. I will be hunting in Michigan for Whitetail Deer, BlackBear, Elk and Turkey with in the next year hopefully. I need to know of any facts for arrow selection, material and broadhead design. Thank you for any help that you may give me.

RE: carbon vs. Aluminum Arrows
The ACC is a great arrow, kinda pricey tho. Can't see why you need to switch if they work.

RE: carbon vs. Aluminum Arrows
Ive heard a lot of good things about gold tips. They get a lot of praise on here. From what I hear theyre not too pricey either.

RE: carbon vs. Aluminum Arrows
i don't know what type of carbon arrows you're using but you are the first i have heard of vanes not staying on. as for the nocks a tiny bit of glue fixes that problem. I shoot beamans and really like them, i also have not found them to be brittle in cold weather.

OK, since price is a factor, I'd recommend the Gold Tip 75/95 also. I sell a lot of them and they're the best all carbon I've tried.

RE: carbon vs. Aluminum Arrows
I use the Gold Tip 5575's (you would use 7595's) and I really like them. Like you, I shoot a long arrow and FOC needs to be compensated for with 125 grain head or more. My hunting buddy has used the ACC and he really likes them too. There are more pricey, but if they work use them.
