Axis arrow owners

I got my arrows from the magazine I ordered. I haven't gotten to shoot them yet but have a question. Where can you get better nocks and the broadhead ring?

I guess the first thing I want to ask is "What is wrong with the nocks currently installed?"....and what do you mean by "broadhead ring"?

well, I read in the catalog that there is like a metal ring that is supposed to go between the broadhead and the carbon shaft. as far as the nocks, I just remember someone saying that they found a little better nock to put in em. I haven't shot them yet. I am going to fletch a couple today.

I think you will only need the broadhead rings if you are using expandables that that fold all the way back to the insert on normal arrows ! Since the Axis don't have the insert on the end of the shaft....the blades would potentially crak the shaft when they open !

I use Spitfires and the blades open to the back of the ferrule and don't hit the shaft.......so I'm not using the rings !

Did that make any sense [8D] ???

I have one bad nock......haven't heard of any other problems !

No problems with the nocks here either...except I shot one out. :) Ditto on needing the broadhead washers for certain expandables. I plan on just putting two small rings on my Rockets.

There were some people buying replacement knocks for the ones that they shot off.
The metal ring is only for certain expandables.

where can you buy the rings?

Most any pro shop will carry replacement rings for their expandable broadheads. I know our local shop has extras for the Rockets. I normally buy them anyway but will now definitely need them for the reinforcement. I doubt the small extra weight will change much in terms of accuracy, etc.. but I am going to check anyway.

Some replacement blade broadheads will need the rings also as the small size of these shafts keep them from putting pressure against the blade retaining rings. Thunderheads come to mind with having this problem with smaller size shafts. Easton makes a broadhead adapter ring and also NAP has their Ubar which will work.

I like the nocks!!! They seem to be very good quality. I don't plan on shooting expandibles or replacement blades, so a ring is of no concern to me.
