PA: did you use spray to ASAT the stand?

Cornfed: I've been thinking about gettin a Lone Wolf but I still can't bring myself to spend $150 on a loc-on. Do you use the Lone Wold climbing sticks with it? If so, how do you like them?

Sorry nubo, forgot to answer this part on the first pass. From the time I drop it off my back, I am sitting in the seat in less than 10 minutes. I could do it faster if I could figure out a way to get each section up w/o having to come back down the tree. I'm thinking of making a haul rope with small clips staggered every 4 feet or so.

mine are more permanent. I do use a summit at times though. I also use mine for moose not deer.

Thank's Mike! I think I'm going to look at this set-up for this fall's hunt ,I've been considering a ladder stand but it's a pretty permenant set-up .I might just get both and then I can move a bit when I need to.

The sticks you have above are not the ones I have.
Not sure the model number but they come in 3 sections that weigh 3lbs each;)

The weight of the stand on the box says 9lb but that could be wrong.

I use a different ladder but I just hook them to my belt on each side by the attaching rope. If your not careful they will clang going up the tree but I generally have my stands hung before the hunt.

On my moose hunts I use the CopperHead XL, similar to the HeadHunter Lite, but has the older cable lock system. The Headhunter comes with the quick attack strap system, much easier to set up. This year, 2004, Summit is coming out with both the CopperHead and HeadHunter in the X4 series. I've already got the CopperHead X4 on order.
In combination with the buck steps--this stand makes moving, effortless.
The Gorilla stands are also comfortable stands and I have a few of those myself.

Yeah, Ampa I'm thinking about picking up one or the other myself. The attachment system is by far the easiest and most secure that I have ever used. What is the difference between the Headhunter and the Copperhead stands?

My favorite is the Gorilla Silverback Magnum. I like the lightweight aluminum, the large platform and the padded seat. To get into this stand I use either the Gorilla climbing sticks, an unknown brand of stacking type climbing sticks or the EZY single fold screw in steps depending on the situation.
