spares logic ??

The string and cables on my bow are shot in now and I'm wondering how to handle the spares situation. I want to have spare bowsting and cables for hunting. Should I stash the setup on the bow now for spares and shoot in a fresh setup or just buy a new setup for the spare ? I'd hate to have to deal with string stretch in the middle of a hunt.

What do you do ?

Thanks
Steve

I would take off the ones you have now, buy a new set and and shoot them in. That way if you do have a problem, your replacement set should be settled in. You will still have to retune, but won't have to wait.

I agree before the hunting season change the cables and the string and cables. Yes you will have to re tune your bow. I doesn't hurt to keep a portable bow press in your pack with an extra string if you are concerned about it for those hunts that you have to be away from your local bow shop. Carl Ellik
