RE: Taking a shot which way
If the deer were both right in front of me but facing different directions, I wouldn't have a prefernce. Although, I am sure that subconciously I would have picked one that I prefered to shoot. Now, if there was one deer on my right and one deer on my left, I would shoot the deer on my left because I am right handed and it's easier to shoot that way.

Nice answer RACK !!! You may have something there.
One day saw a guy who was tracking a bowshot deer and laughing to himself. I asked him what was so funny and he told me that he'd shot this deer WAY down by the river, almost 70 feet lower elevation than where he was parked over a quarter mile away, and the darned thing ran straight uphill and died within 150 yards of his truck.

...but seriously folks...
I think my decision about shooting a deer facing either way (assuming both are the same distance and in front of me), I'd go for the one facing left, but for different reasons than previously mentioned. I keep both eyes open while shooting so I can be a bit more aware of the surrounding environment, inluding the deer's head. I can concentrate on his vitals through my peep, and with his head facing left, I could still see his eyes and ears to tell if he has noticed me at the last second.

If I understand this correctly, they are standing in exactly the same spot but facing in different directions. If they don't move, there's no difference in this since you just aim at the center of the vitals which should be the same. If neither one had a larger rack or body, I'll aim at the one facing left because, if it moves, it's more likely to move in a direction I can shoot.
