does size mattter?
 

Well trying to find all the info i can, so what is your opinion on a bow that is 31 inches versus a bow that is 37 inches.

all else being equal (brace height, reflex, etc) the longer bow should be more stable and less prone to canting.

There are a few things to keep in mind. The longer the more stable and forgiving. However, i have a 47 inch hoyt protec and it is kind of heavy. 47 inches is to long unless you are a finger shooter and are new to it. I shot way better with my 38 inch protec. I would go with the 37.

ANOTHER GOOD THING WITH A SHORT BOW IS THAT IT IS EASIER TO GET IN AND OUT OF TIGHT SPOTS FOR HUNTING PURPOSES. BUT IF YOU WILL BE SHOOTING STRICTLY 3D THE LONGER BOW WOULD BE BETTER CAUSE OF THE BALANCE ISSUE.;)

It all depends on what you want to use it for.

Personally I prefer a short and light bow because I hunt at high elevations (11,000) feet and I am usually sitting very little at all so having a light and short bow is paramount for me.

If I were to shoot targets I would want to have a longer and a bit heavier bow Say 38+ inches.

If I did most of my hunting out of a treestand I would probably want one somewhere in the middle. Say around 35 - 38 inches.

Remeber that the heavier and longer the bow is the harder it is to induce torque to the bow.

In addition to what bigbulls said, keep in mine that many of the new parrarel limb bows are harder to torque due to the longer risers.

No size really doesn't matter as long as you can put the dart where it belongs.
