Turkey Broadhead Question?
I am currently using a NAP Gobbler Getter Mechanical (100gr) for turkey this year. I would like to add a Muzzy Grasshopper in conjunction with my Gobbler Getter broadhead. How much effect will a Grasshopper have on my arrow flight/accuracy since the Grasshopper has to add a few more grains to the overall broadhead weight? Will my arrow "drop" more than it normally does at 20-30 yards with just the Gobbler Getter broadhead? My setup is a Mathews Outback 65lbs., and Gold Tip carbon arrows. I am currently getting about 270fps on the chrono. Thanks in advance.

RE: Turkey Broadhead Question?
Since you are shooting the 'Gobbler Getters', why use
the grasshoppers? The GG already has a bullit tip point to limit penetration. Good shot placement will do the job. Leaving the arrow in the bird is no guarantee, unfortunately I've watched two different gobblers fly off with my arrow. If you do decide to use the grasshoppers, make sure you shoot your setup first. You can wire your broadhead closed with the wire from a bread tie. Good Luck TB p.s. Welcome to the board;) |
RE: Turkey Broadhead Question?
I will be bowhunting turkeys next week and using the NAP GG.I have a game tracker settup that I have never used that mounts to the stablizer threads,I am wondering if this would work? The neat thing is the string could help find the bird it it flies off.Heres a link that shows what it looks like.I bought this thing several years ago and never used it. http://www.turkeyhuntingsecrets.com/...acker-2500.htm
