Glove on trigger hand
I noticed on alot of bowhunting shows they dont wear a glove on there shooting
hand. I always do but I cut off the trigger finger. When its cold out I use a full glove how about you? |
RE: Glove on trigger hand
Have you seen the new Mossy Oak gloves for release shooters?
|
RE: Glove on trigger hand
I don't wear a glove on my shooting hand eather.for the most part. it is because I don't pratice with one on.

RE: Glove on trigger hand
I always wear camo gloves on both hands no matter what season> Even though I work outside most of the year and have a tan I don't need a less than camo hand in motion for my prey to pick up on. Most of the time it is a scentlok glove. Keeps the scent in, camo's the hand and protects against briars and skeeters.:)

RE: Glove on trigger hand
I never use a glove - on either hand.
I like to feel the bow - and gloves never felt comfortable. |

RE: Glove on trigger hand
I wear gloves on both hands all the time, even in the summer when hunting. I usually cut the fingers off the thumb and trigger finger of the release hand. Sometimes I buy some without fingers. I have them in wool, fleece, cotton etc. My hands don't usually get cold even in the dead of winter in the snow. If it's especially brisk I'll slide a thin silk or thermax liner on underneath.

I don't wear gloves unless it is extremely cold out. (Below 20 degrees) When it is this cold, I will wear gloves, but will take my trigger hand glove off if I am taking a shot.

RE: Glove on trigger hand
Never on my trigger hand.

RE: Glove on trigger hand
To uncomfortable for me, and it messes with my anchor point. So, no i dont wear a glove on my release hand, i just wear a muff around my waist or put my hand in my pocket.

RE: Glove on trigger hand
After trying several different gloves I've pretty much settled with the Camoskinz gloves.
They're quite sensitive and is almost like using your bare hands. When the temperature drops I'll add two hand warmers to my jacket pockets and tuck my hand in there to keep warm. |
RE: Glove on trigger hand
I never used to wear one on my shooting hand. Sometimes I'd camo it up with paint. But I have found a good glove to wear, and that's the camoskinz that are mentioned above. I practice with them on and they are very comfortable.

RE: Glove on trigger hand
I always wear gloves, hunting and practice, and like some of you I will cut the finger off my release hand
|
RE: Glove on trigger hand
it's not cold enough in nc to need them but i do waer them sometimes for the camo
|
RE: Glove on trigger hand
I just got home from the range a hour or so ago and I used my gloves on both hands. It's was about 36* when I was shooting. The gloves are just comfortable and it is the way I hunt.
I use a True Ball Trial Boss release and there is no need for me to have open finger tips on the gloves. In northern WI in November and even October, a glove is a blessing. Temperatures can be in the teens to zero during the late part of the early WI bow season. Not to mention the camo aspect. |
RE: Glove on trigger hand
I wear them. I'm too conscious of them being see and with scent. In the early season I'm gonna wear the scent lok liner gloves that are green. Later in the year I'll put on my ASAT glove over the liner gloves if it proves to not be too bulky. Then when it's really cold I'm gonna buy a hand warmer muff to put some hand warmers in to keep em warm.

RE: Glove on trigger hand
Here they are. I think I'll give em a try this season if I can find them for sale somewhere.

RE: Glove on trigger hand
I wear a glove on my left on nothing on my right. I wear the same glove practicing that I wear hunting.

RE: Glove on trigger hand
With the colder climate here during archery season i would wear at least a light cotton glove to help break the wind
