Best arrow?

What is the Best hunting arrow for deer and why? There are easily a couple dozen choices out there. Carbon, Aluminum, combination arrows, ect.

If you were going to go on the Dream hunt of a lifetime, which arrow would you take a long? Is it because of the straightness? The finish, the weight? Just looking for opinions.

I'm using GoldTip 5575 and love em.

As you soon will see the new craze seems to be the new Axis arrows by Easton. To everyone that replies I ask why. And why did I just notice today that the train left me:D

I want a straight arrow thats durable, thats all. As for type, id go with a good carbon, like an A/C/C or even an all carbon like a gold tip. For some cases id use an aluminum, like an XX78, but i really like my carbons anymore. Something with a pretty balanced weight, but not to heavy or light. Probably 450 grains(broadhead included). 4 inch feathers, right wing right helical. Then a balanced, two blade cut up front broadhead that weighs around 100 grains. On top of all that, it needs to hit where its suppose to(that depends on me though, lol)

Though I do not use them that often I would say that ACCs would probably be right up there for me though these new Axis STs are really impressing me.

i shoot the carbon express 45/70's and also the blackhawk vapors 5000's and like them both. both have really good straitness -.003 and with stand some really brutal punishment. both brands are all carbon.

If i had to pick one arrow that could do anything and be totally dependable and reliable, I would go back to XX78 Super Slam's. They never failed me, I just have moved on to newer things like everyone else.

Stick flinger, I thought that the terminator sizes were 45/60 and 60/75. Maybe I'm wrong, could someone fill me in?

well, alluminum are def straighter than carbon, but carbon if more durable. I shoot Beman Ics hunters, but with any carbon the straigntness is usually not consistant in a dozen arrows. I would use tha carbons but check the straightness on a spin check tool, and use the best arrows for your hunt. I bought a dozen of
bemans last year and I had 6 that were ok.
But the problem is not just with Beman, it is carbon arrows in general, even in the high end carbons like acc. The higher end carbons are better, but not perfect. So I would go with carbons just make sure you take the "cream of the crop", or the straightest out of your dozen.

Not many people use these or maybe its just this forum but I love the arrows by PSE. Carbon Force compitition Pro. I have been using these for years and are the straitest out there and very strong. I mean when shooting at targets in front of hay bailes I sometimes shoot through the hay bail and into the wood fence. Arrows are always fine.

For carbons, I shoot the Gold Tip 55/75 XT's and lately I've found I really like the Easton X7 as an aluminum, even though it is more of a target shaft.
