Exactly. You'll never be scent free regardless what you do so I think whether you're in an astronaut suit, some sort of bubble, scent lock, carhart, jeans and tee shirt, etc...... It just doesn't make that big of a difference. Be as scent free as possible with what you're wearing and hunt the wind IMO.
On the otherhand if someone can justify spending the money for the stuff then I suppose there may be an added advantage. I certainly can't be hurting you. But like Arthur said, who knows if it's really helping you when faced with a situation like a buck coming in downwind from you. I've been "caught with my pants down" before too without scent lock. No way to know if it was or wasn't the clothing.
Bottom line is though either way it's certainly not a situation where the stuff is going to have a negative impact so hey what the heck go for it if you feel like spending the $$$.

I don't buy in at all, not one dime. But I might buy in if it were only a dime. It just seems WAY overpriced to me.

I can't and won't argue that. I have had deer come in directly downwind before Scentlok was in my wardrobe.....just a whole lot less often!;)

What does "fully reactivate" really mean? At what temps do human scent molecules 'vaporize'?

I still say the stuff doesn't hurt. I stil practice 'hunt the wind' stratagies. I still bath and deodorized with scent free products. I see carbon as a benefit.

Also to be honest with you guys I won't take anyone to any of my hunting spots if they don't wear scent lok and practice strict scent control measures let alone be super accurate with their archery gear. And then I only take them if the wind is working for more than 1 stand site.

I have taken my 3 biggest bucks since I started using scent lok 3 years ago. Concidence or not that I can't answer.

Even if the stuff only catches 1/3 of my scent it is worth every penny to me.

I guess it's probably true when you look at it that way. I may give it a whirl this season. Bass Pro will be having it's grand opening in my hometown June 9th. probably gonna be some good deals out there. What do you scent lock guys recomend?? How long does the stuff last? How do you justify it to your wife without getting the cold shoulder for a month?

I like the MT050 gore tex rain gear myself but it is pricey. But even
if / when the scent lok is not longer any good I still got one hell of a rain suit:D

As PA mentioned you can buy the liner suit for $100 bucks. You just put your favorite camo right on top of it. It will work for all seasons.

I'm in need of new Scentlok this year. I have had mine now for 3 seasons, but I got it cheap, $50 each for the pants and jacket. I lost a bunch of weight and now I'm basically swimming in the stuff....it was just poly-cotton material which I DO NOT RECOMMEND as it bleaches out easiliy and pills up just as easily. I'm looking at the Dakota and Savanna series and also some of Cabela's lines as well. There's a lot to choose from!

I never have either, however I must admit I am very intriqued and have often thought of getting a suit.
