Turkeys in the yard (pics)
 

I was awaken by the beautiful sound of some longbeards gobblin' this morning. I jumped out of bed and grabbed the digital camera. I got shots of 1 tom and 1 jake and two hens. They were strutting their stuff this morning in my front yard. I usually have about 9 turkeys that hang around. I can't wait until spring turkey season rolls around. I will be out and about with my bow. Hope you enjoy the pics. Sorry if they are too big. I couldn't figure out how to shrink them.

The camera is a Sony DSC-F717 Cyber-shot. It works really well. Its a digital camera.

After drooling at the sight of those birds, I began to have sudden butterfly-itis in the abdominal region!:D Hope this season is profitable for all. Unfortunatly, I'll have to sit this one out.

That would be a nice alarm clock to wake up to! I wish I woke up with them in my yard. But knowing my luck they would be there then, but come hunting season, no where to be found.

Bowhunting them ain't no sport, you should be able to hit those with a dang sling shot. ;)
I had them gobbling around me yesterday and today around here but season doesn't open till the 10th. Had one wake me last year outta bed, he won't be doing that this year, ;) Bobby

That's awesome!!! I've been deer hunting for over 20yrs but this is my first year to turkey hunt, those pics really get me fired up!!!

Season starts tomorrow here, for younger shooters. I'm taking my nephew hunting for his first time. I reckon I'll have to call for him, or help him in the least - he's only nine. But he's so excited, and so am I - I just hope he can sit still long enough. ;)
