MY BIGGEST WHITETAIL TO DATE
 

:DI WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE CAN GET THIS PIC BIGGER CAUSE THE GOOD ONE IS LIKE 84KB AND I CAN'T GET IT TO LOAD. I HARVESTED HIM IN BRECKENRIDGE COUNTY KENTUCKY ON DEC. 16TH OF 2003. IT HAD JUST GOTTEN REALLY WARM AND THE WIND WAS GUSTING UP TO 40MPH I DIDN'T THINK I WAS GOING TO SEE ANYTHING.




THERE I THINK I GOT IT FIXED TELL ME WHAT YOU GUYS THINK OF HIM. AND ROUGHLY WHAT YOU THINK HE SCORED!!!:D

I would say he grossed around 118 and net 110

PRETTY GOOD DOUBLECREEK HE GROSSED 121 4/8 AT THE JIM STRADER HUNTING AND FISHING SHOW IN LOUISVILLE. HE NETTED JUST OVER 110, THANKS GUYS.

Some nice bucks. We just got done measuring my brothers and it was around 108 (a big un for PA) so I was going to guess 120 with a net around 115. Not bad for a PA boy. Good shooting fellows. Jason was yours a PA buck? Public/private land. Thanks for the enjoyment of the pics, juniorpc.

Junior, yep.....public land....Warren County, PA....Heavily hunted public land to boot....the hills of the ANF he called home until 11-8-03. Since I know you're interested....grossed 139-6/8 netted 136-4/8. I didn't measure him those numbers are from my taxidermist. I'm going to post some pics when I get the mount back this weekend! I'm downright giddy to be getting him back and back this soon!:D For what it's worth, in that picture I weighed a whopping 310+ pounds so the next pics you'll see him look a lot bigger since I've dropped 40 or so pounds.

:DTHANKS FELLAS, HE FIELD DRESSED AT 185 AND THE TAXIDERMIST SAID HE WAS 2 1/2. I JUST WISH HE COULD HAVE LASTED ANOTHER TWO YEARS. HIS RIGHT MAIN BEAM WAS DAMAGED IN VELVET OR HE WOULD HAVE FORKED INTO A MAIN FRAME 10, BUT IT'S ALL GOOD I'M VERY PLEASED WITH HIM ANYWAY.

THAT IS ONE HECK OF A DEER JASON. WHAT DID THEY AGE HIM AT AND HOW MUCH DID HE WEIGH? HE DOES LOOK A LOT LIKE MINE. THE GENES IN THE AREA I HUNT ARE REALLY GOOD. I CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF A DEER ABOUT 1/2 A MILE FROM WHERE I HARVESTED MINE THAT WOULD LIKELY SCORE ABOUT 190 OR SO. HE WAS HUGE, I WAS STILL HUNTING DURING THE RIFLE HUNT AND CAME UPON A BIG BUCKS AREA IT WAS TORN UP WITH SCRAPES AND RUBS. I CAME UP ONTO A RISE AND JUST AS I CRESTED THE LITTLE HILL THERE HE WAS ABOUT 15 YARDS FROM ME ON THE OTHER EDGE OF THE HILL. HE TURNED HIS HEAD TOWARDS ME SNORTED AND DOWN THE HILL HE WENT. I NEVER SAW HIM AGAIN AND NO ONE IN THE AREA KILLED HIM THAT I KNOW OF.
I'VE HEARD THAT BUCKS WILL USE THE SAME GENERAL AREA YEAR AFTER YEAR SO I THINK THAT IS GOING TO BE ONE OF THE PLACES I'M GOING TO BE WITH MY BOWTECH AROUND SEPTEMBER OF THIS YEAR.

He wasn't officially aged, but we all guessed him at 3.5. Hunting buds and taxidermist all figured 3.5 so I imagine he's close to that. Comparing other bucks taken in the area that have been aged by PGC personel he seems to fall right in with the other 3.5's. I reallize that's not great evidence. That buck also matches up pretty well with Alloutdoors' 'aging on the hoof' criteria.....so, it's a guess at best, but I feel it's pretty accurate.....within one year anyway!!!:D:D:D
