You can add me to the list....

of people who have either had their stealth cam stolen or smashed. i went to check my pics after a day of ground hog hunting and i found the whole camera ripped out on the ground, wires, batteries everything. The best part of it all though was that they forgot to take the film. So as soon as i can take it to the camera shop and get them to manually roll it, i might be able to press charges on someone. The farmer knows a lot people who hunt it and live in the area so hopefully the pictures turn out good. [:@][:@][:@][:@]

Good luck on getting these jerks.

It still amazes me that people will just help themselves to whatever they like when they are out in the woods.Steel stands, feeders, cut fences, take cameras.[:@]Just once would like to catch these sob's in the act.

Best of luck to you in finding out who broke your camera.

Legacy.......don't be shocked if when you develop the film you have some extreme close ups of a big fat racoon.[:-]
They are very curious, dextrous and a heck of a lot stronger than you realize.
I would think that a person would just TAKE the camera....and for sure the film.

it would be my bet that an animal would wreck to camera a lousy trespasser would just steal it

2 years ago I thought a tresspasser messed with my camera. I called everyone I hunt with and we knew exactly who it was.[:@] When I picked up the film, I saw a bear cub having fun with my expensive toy. Good story, but not good for the camera.

Yep, I would be willing to bet that it was either a raccoon or a bear. A couple years ago, I set up my camera and went back to the same area about an hour later to cut some shooting lanes! Well, my camera was ripped to the bottom of the tree and my best friend said that it had to have been a squirrel. Well, when we got the film back, it was a bear. He rubbed his face on the camera, then hit it with his paw, then walked away!

This past year, I had my camera set-up in a spot that nobody visits. Well, a few days after setting it up, I went back and the front face of my Stealth cam was open! I thought "O great, somebody stole the film", well, it was there so when I got it developed, I found the culprit. A dang raccoon. He opened the face of the unit, but thankfully he didn't do any damage!

I don't actually own a steath cam:([&:] But I've seen in stores that they have a cage that you chain to the tree and put your cam in that might stop animals for destroying your cameras and might stop thieves.
