I gave my 5 year old son his new Golden Eagle Lil Brave Saturday for his birthday and there's not a happier kid on this planet right now. We shot for about an hour Saturday and then the weather turn bad. This is one of the prodest days of my life so far, I just can't wait until he sticks his first deer.:D

Great to hear:). My three year old is not old enough yet, but is showing interest in outdoors!!:D:D. He knows how to turkey yelp and gobble with his voice!! Am I proud of him:D. I was at the local Gander mountain and saw the Genisis on sale in a package deal. My wife said not yet and I did agree with her, but sure wanted to get it dispite. She was a little disapointed in me when I bought a Daisy BB gun for him from a friend already. Heck, $10 and it was never used, so I could not pass it up. It will help me get rid of the chipmunks digging up my yard[:@][:@].

It is pretty cool to have young kids interested in the sport. I have a 19 month little girl who helps daddy with his hunting equip, and loves watching hunting videos, she even claps and squeals when the deer gets shot, it is awesome. I am hoping that I will have a good hunting buddy in the making!!!!

That's great. I can't wait till my son can shoot a real bow. He's 2 1/2. I did get him a bow for Christmas this year out of Cabelas. It's a plastic bow that shoots round foam balls. Pretty cool. He loves shooting it. He actually has some pretty good form too. Can't wait till the day he's in a stand next to me!

I bought my 6 year old daughter a bow for Christmas. It is just a starter bow from Dick's. She loves to shoot with me. If she continues to enjoy it, I'll get her a Genesis. She already asked for a new fishing pool for Easter too. They are a joy to have around.

Congrats to u and your kid gutshot.Going to get my young guy outfitted this year,he is 8.Just have to figure out what bow model to get him or maybe let him choose which one he wants,which might be a better idea seen as how he is shooting it.jees,here i go rambling on ,getting excited thinking aboput it,sorry,again congrats:)

Listening to all of your stories is almost putting me over the top with the excitement I already have!!! My first baby is due April 16th, but really could go anytime. We didn't find out what we are having, but whichever it is....they will have PLENTY of opportunity to sneak out in the woods with me at a young age. Good luck to you all!!

Thanks for all of the good words. I've been tking my boy with me squirrel hunting since he was 2 1/2 and now he's already making plans for deer season. He also can't wait for warmer weather to go fishing. I'm truly blessed.

This year will be my 11 year old daughters' third year bow hunting with me. I took my first deer during her first year with me, when she was nine! She helped me trail it, field dress it and drag it out of the woods! On the way home she asked me, "Daddy, when can we go hunting again?" Last year, she sat for almost four hours in 28 degree weather. In Michigan, the age minimum is 12. She can't wait!!!

Congrats!! I'm curently looking for a bow for my 7 yr old now. Looking at the Gensis. He is bitting at the bit to get started.
