I don't think I would shoot at an animal past 25 yards. I've only been bow hunting for one season and only shot at one deer. It was at 22 yards. It was a double lung pass through and it dropped in sight.

No field mousy, that would be a deer underneath my stand. If you want to get technical, it probably should have read 5-30 yards. I think you know what I meant.

Hey man don't take it personal. The hardest shot is right below you. Your better off jumping on it's back and going for a ride.

On my only archery deer - 35 yard first shot, 50 yard second shot. Both would have killed the deer, but he stopped for the second shot, so why not make sure? I shoot a lot of 3D out to 50-60 yards and under ideal conditions am very confident on an animal out to about 40. There's a lot of things that can go wrong when shooting live animals out that far though (3D targets can't jump the string...)

Most of my shots are between 20-30 yards. Too close and I don't feel comfortable. I like em in the 20-25 yd range personally.

My two this year were 16 and 13 yards. That's a nice close chip shot!

i like them about 15-30 yards, closer than that is ok. I did take a pig at 46 yards, and ive shot at a turkey that was 53 yards, but never found it. I make myself stay under 30 though, unless conditions govern otherwise.
