Bows for kids...
My daughter will be 11 in April. She's gone hunting with me for the past two years ans I told her that I'd get her a real bow this year if she kept her grades up. Well, she brought hom 4-A's, 1-B and 1-C. That's better than I used to do so now it's time for me to pay up. The local pro shop in my area closed last year and I'll probably end up going to Cabela's. I'm looking for suggestions for a bow that is powerful enough to do the job and something that will grow with her.
Thank you, thankyouverymuch... |
RE: Bows for kids...
I had the same deal with my son. He brought home "High Honors" on his report card so to the bow shop we went.
I picked him up a PSE Spyder. Its on order right now should be here next week. His buddy has one so we had a chance to try it out. The draw length changes like 6 inches or so and you can adjust the weight around 15 pounds. Others to look at is Alpine. They make a bow that is a split limb compound with 8 inches of draw length and im told for 20 dollars they will swap limbs out for you so it would grow with her. Another one to look at would be the Browning Micro Madis III. This one is like the others as it can be adjusted. If you have a pro shop within driving distance I would go there. If not look online and you can find some great deals on used ones. http://www.Archery.net is a good site and check out http://www.archerytalk.com/ they have a classified section there. Good luck and enjoy Don |

A very good bow for the kids, fast, forgiving, small & light. Also available in colors or camo.

I agree with Keith {ampahunter } my daughter was 7 and I picked her up a BowTech Rascal and it's an amazing bow fir kid's.The Rascal comes from 20# up and they will be able to use them for years to come a very short axle to axle but a very forgiving brace height . This is my opinion But I'm sure if you take a good look at them the craftmanship is top notch and youy'll be bringing it home, they are top quality bow's for kid's as the child get's older you can pick up new limb's and they look just like daddy's bow.
P.S. just to let you know this company has the best customer service in the sport.Check out my post on "Top Notch for BowTech" nubo |
