The Sportsmen Channel?
 

I have the Outdoor Channel and the Outdoor Life Channel on my Cable but have a magazine that came in the mail from the Sportsmen Channel.

I looked them up on the internet to find out more.

Does anyone get that channel?

Yes, it is on my cable system. The channel does seem to have "blackout" periods from time to time, but it is more solidly hunting/fishing as opposed to the Outdoor channel that also has the gold prospecting, ATV stuff, and on Saturday night, Bluegrass music.

Man, nothing worse when I'm hoping to find some hunting shows on the Outdoor Channel and there is gold prospecting or rodeo crap on. [:@]

The Sportsmans Channel is the true redneck's hunting and fishing channel. It's NOTHING but hunting and fishing, which is a good thing. There are no infomercials, RC cars, or paint ball fights that the other outdoor channels are littered with. It makes the extra $15/month for digital cable worth it.

I have the Outdoor channel and I watch it a lot. I also noticed late night advertizing is going south.

A pretty young blond looks into the camera and says, "What would you pay to enlarge that certain part of the male anatomy? Blah, blah, blah. Then at the end it says it has a money back guarantee.

Now, a buddy of mine that I hunt with asks he if I've seen the commercial? Yep I have. Do you think it works, he says? Nope, it's just a gimmick, I reply. But it has a money back guarantee, he says. So I say, yeah, but can you imagine some dork trying to get his money back? "I've been taking your product for six months and I still have a little weiner, can I have my money back? How many guys you know going to say something like that. Geez, and I hunt with this guy! Probably cause he's got some really nice land to hunt on.
