Longbows and plaid...Hehe, Believe or not, there are alot of us who wouldn't hunt any other way. I've actually noticed a trend in the last few years among the stickbow community to deliberately shed fatigues, treestands, and other "gear". Not to be confused with neophytes or those ignorant of so-called "neccessities", this breed of experienced, knowledgeable, and very hard-hunting enthusiasts make a very conscious choice to pursue game in a more simple, pure form.

If they outlawed compounds and camo, it would have no effect on me, whatsoever. I rarely hunt with either of them now, so I'd definitely still bowhunt.
I don't like the fit or feel of most camo I've had, and not much of it comes in XXXL XTall anyway. [&:] I'll keep my plaid shirt and beat up hat, thank you. Most of my bowhunting is done wearing a blaze orange vest anyway, on public land during gun season.[:-]
I'm the same way about compounds. I've got some, even shoot them some, but recurves and longbows are a better fit for me all around - physically, mentally, emotionally and philosophically.

When I started hunting in the early 80's I wore blue jeans and a plaid jacket and sometimes blue insulated coveralls. But I also used a big bore 94 in .375.
I love bowhunting so much that yes without a doubt I'd do it! When you wear blue it blends with the sky.

[8D]Duh![8D] As others have said...That's how I got started. It's the outdoor experience I'm after, not necessarily the meat. Hell, most rifle seasons are over a few hours after they start. Bowhunting lets me get out for a few months. The new compounds and other equipment allow me to mess around with the stuff long after the season closes.
