In any event I'm shooting for around 390-400grs finished arrow weight and around 280ish FPS at 30" 70#

But not so fast as to burn up my feathers in flight ! :)

RE: How fast is your rig?

With my current rig, I shoot 70#, 31" 2514 shafts, 100 grain points at 227 fps, w/ fingers.

Fastest rig I had, Hoyt Deviator, 67#, 31" 2512 shafts at 272fps, or 31" carbons at 315 fps, still with fingers.

I have to say, I much prefer the slower, quieter set-up. Much easier to shoot too.

Count me in too, I shoot a 518 grain arrow at 232 fps plenty fast for my style of hunting and more then enough KE for penetrating a elk.
