Bows on Ebay

I was just surfing ebay looking through some of the bows for sale over there and I couldn't believe some of the information that I was reading. There is so much false info over there it isn't even funny. People claiming things that clearly aren't true about the bow. Unless a person knows what they are doing they really can get a fast one pulled on them.

My personal favorite is "Yes, the warranty still does apply if you buy a "pro shop only" bow on ebay"...what a crock. I wish there was some way folks could warn other folks when they see something misleading in an auction.

Sorry, had to vent.

Best thing I've found to do, especially when dealing with people selling bows, is to check out the feedback comments. I've sold a few and have bought a few without any problems.

Yep, buying on ebay can be a nighmare or a good experience. It all depends on the seller. Pay careful attention to their "rating". It's definitely buyer beware and there are no returns!

Now don't start....

I've got 1 of my bows listed on there right now.

Your right though, it is really buyer beware.

I've had good luck with everything I've gotten off of there.

I just got my wife a PSE Nova 4x4 for pretty cheap. She likes it, and shoots it well.

PABowHntr....Didn't you just sell your Havoctec on ebay?

Ofcourse, I agree with you folks. There is always a danger when buying something from there and a person should check the seller's rating/feedback profile.

But, there really are people that sell stuff on there that have no clue what they are selling. They can put together a wonderful presentation page/description but the information is inaccurate. Take the 2002 Hypertec that is up there now. Beautiful layout, nice pictures....but a good part of the info is all wrong.

CentralPAHunter,

Yes, to answer your question. Actually today is the last day on the auction and I sell stuff regularly on there....but I post factual information regarding the product.

I just think it is sad when glitz and glammer sell and the facts gets the back door.

Frank; your selling the Havotec? It's still new and you haven't killed anything with it yet have you? Did you find something else you just have to have?
Yeah, some of the things you see on ebay are nutz. Does anyone remember the guy that was shown pulling the recurve backwards? The bow was unstrung for pete sakes!

Sometimes a good seller rating can be deceiving as well. I have had mostly good, but some bad experiences on ebay. Some people are so dishonest that they will create false user names and have their friends give them good feedback and even have their friends bid on items to bump up the price. Sleezy!
