That IS a crazy video. You guys all need to go to the Big Game Forum and look at the old posts about this lion hunt video. These responses are like deja vu all over again (as Yogi Bera says).

By the way, I think the PH hit the lion just as he lunged at the shooter, which is what knocked him off balance and caused the lion not tear out the shooter's jugular vein.

You know I love to hunt buy I will never understand why guys go down there to kill a lion. It's just not for me. I hunt for the meat and I think they do it just to say they killed one. I may get some grief for this one but I just had to say it.

I 2nd that xtremetj. If its a quick and humane kill i have no problem. I bet that Hunter will think a little more about shot placement on his next Lion hunt.

I'll 3rd that as well I only kill what I'll eat if I don't eat it I won't hunt it.

I don't like the idea of killing for the trophy it seem's senseless to me sure it's nice to hang a nice rack but if you can't make good use of the whole animal then why destroy it?.This situation sure looked dangerous to me .Not only the lion almost getting the hunter but all those guy's shooting out of control someone could have easily got killed by accident.The lion almost showed why they call him the King of Beast.

I have no desire to kill a lion, or other large predator. Those idiots were too lucky. What's the point of killing the lion? To say "I did it"? I agree with xtremejt, they were lucky to have not shot each other. And I'm not so sure I'd feel too badly if the score was a little more even. Killing to kill. [:'(]
