Great review 5shot. I agree, the MZE is an excellent rest, especially for the bowhunter.:)

"By adjusting the stop screw and center shot you should be shooting bullet holes in no time."

While "...adjusting the stop screw..." is an option, care should be taken when using this method. As long as you have enough tension of the stop screw against the stop plate, everything will work fine. If you have minimum tension on the stop plate, unscrewing the stop screw might cause a gap between the screw and the plate.

This will result in a tune that could be variable/inconsistent.

Chris,

You are turning into the arrow rest reviewer in addition to the Broadhead review guru...:).

Nice review. I tried the ZE a year or so ago and would agree with the conclusions you came to both in terms of advantages and disadvantages.

I agree, that was a great review. When you said that the hook was a disadvantage as far as getting in the way in heavy brush, I have to agree. However, I also feel the oversized hook is more of an advantage to me due to the fact that I never have to worry about my arrow falling off the rest and I don't need any attachments to accomplish this. I can practically turn my bow up side down before the arrow falls away. This is just another advantage I saw in the rest. As far as installing the rest, I would suggest following these steps.

1. Remove video from packaging

2. PLace all pices of rest on table in front of you.

3. Pick up all pices of rest and place back in package.

4. Take video into kitchen.

5. Throw video in trash and drive to proshop and have them do it :D

Man, I watched the video the whole way through and when they said I have to cut the swing arm off I just knew no matter what I did right I would have cut it too short:D. I'm not saying I couldn't have done it (I'm sure if I really tried I could have). I just felt better having someone who installed a buch do mine.

I watched the vidio 3 times while putting it together. Now that I did it once it's easy! I think we just get scared and blow it way out of proportion.:D

Very good review Chris!

Good review and I would agree. I have liked both the ones I own.

hey 5 shot, good review. do you have plans to review the vital bow gear rest. I haven't bought one yet but from the looks of it and the idea of arrow containment, I think it will be a big hit.

Len, you as always make a good point. I have actually done what you pointed out. I didn't personaly have any problems, but I could very easily see how someone could. That's why I post these tests on the forums, to get a discussion going. I am not running out of broadhead, heck I have desk full now! I just started thinking about what other product people have more questions on than any other and arrow rests popped up. I know I sure have tried a bunch personaly!
