What stabilizer to use with Bowtech Patriot SC

I don't want to add a bunch of weight, just mainly for damping purposes. I can also add one of the Simms modules in the back of the riser if necessary. I just don't want to weigh the bow down a lot. No sense in buying a lightweight bow if you have to load it up with weight to get it shock free.

If its the 04 a small one up front like a 4" vibracheck oscillator

if its an 03 a small 3" doinker in the back

If it was me, i would have stealth make me a 4" stab! And i beleive it only weighs 6 oz.
I'm thinking my04 MM needs one.........good luck

Nubo, off subject here but what made you select the Patriot Dually over the Single?

RE: What stabilizer to use with Bowtech Patriot SC

Alway's wanted a dually and I just loved what BowTech had to offer .When I went to purchase my new BowTech all they had was the 2003 dually. I wanted either the Pat s/c or the liberty but I got to like the dually after shooting it for a while. I think the big thing was the speed yep that's it SPEED.

im thinking or getting a short (5 or 6") doinker on my 03' pat. What do you think about that Yeah or neah?

RE: What stabilizer to use with Bowtech Patriot SC

But on the dually your giving up the option of 80% letoff, plus your only picking up 6 fps? You are getting a higher brace height though, and that can never be bad.

nubo 02-19-2004 09:46 PM

RE: What stabilizer to use with Bowtech Patriot SC

I'm not interested in the 80% letoff and I know that It's only another 6fps but that's fine by me ,after shooting the dually I got the bug for it and that's what I bought . next year I'll get a new one I have a whole season to make up my mind .But the Single Cam was actually what I went to look at.

hunt2kill I'd checkout the Stealth first but the doinker's fine .

I've been very pleased with how the Vibracheck Isolators have worked on my BowTechs. They now offer a carbon model that is a good bit lighter, and still works very well.

I have been experimenting with a variety of stabilizers on the Bowtech models I own/have owned. I like a few different ones...NAP Shockblocker 500, GKF Tranquilizer shorty, etc... All balance very well and provide good noise/vibration reduction. However, I hope to invest in one of the Stealth units sometime soon.

Mike.

I posted this on another thread but will put it here as well.

The 6" Sorbotek should be all you need for the Pat SC.

The one of mine you tried on Tuesday was the 8" version not sure of the weight of the 6" tho.

Man, I must have missed it when all these stabilizers became primarily noise/vibration reducers. They used to be about stabilizing/balancing the bow (with weight). I personally like a little weight, but the GKF tranquilizers that a lot of people had recommended were just way to light for me. I went with a 5" Alpine Archery one. Don't know the name off hand. Just my.02

Thanks Aussie. I've been racking my brain for the last couple of days trying to remember what the name of your stabilizer was.

Hey nubo. I'm ordering a custom Stealth from Jerry. 6" weighing between 6 - 8 oz. and camo dipped in Mossy Oak Obsession to match the bow.

Yeah, it's an extra $25 for he camo dipping but what the heck, it's only money right? If he had a few people that wanted one dipped he could get a better price. Hmmmm........ maybe we could get a group purchase together? He may cut everyone a good deal if we could get say 10 people interested in buying one at the same time.

I just bought a GFK Tranquilizer for my 03 Patriot and it does wonders and only weighs 5.5 ounces. It can't be beat!!
