RE: Mecanical Blades??

Both will work, one just has more of a chance of something going wrong. I've used both and have had no problem with either.

I have never had any problems with Rocket arrow heads, however, I like the mechanism in the Rocky Mountain Snypers. Makes sense to me for the quartering shots.

I use nap spitfire's. They really do fly like practice points. I shoot @ 73 pounds, and have yet to have one prematurely open. My archery pro chop suggests useing fixed points for anyone shooting over 30 yards, but mechanicals, in my opinion, have a much more devistating effect. A new study has confirmed that mechanicals only lose 3 to 4 percent more than fixed.(bowhunter mag.)

RE: Mecanical Blades??

Ive shot the rocket hammerheads 100grains mechanical with a 2inch cutting diameter. And they have been a 100% sucsessfull. I will never shoot another broadhead. They always fly exactly like my field points and I never had to adjust anything on the bow yet when switching to broadheads from field tips. Why are they sucsessfull because I limit my shots and range. A well placed arrow tipped with a razor sharp broadhead will prove every time.

A number of my friends shoot snypers and really like them. I've tried a few different ones but ended up going back to thunderheads. They shoot well with my setup and I figure it's just one less thing that could go wrong. Most of the spots that I hunt I can't see 35 yards much less try to shoot that far.
