Ol' Man Climbers
Give me the pros and cons please.
|
RE: Ol' Man Climbers
The flat design makes carrying very easy, despite the weight. Easy to set up. Very comfortable seat. Can climb really big trees.
The cons, not to many in my opinion. The original models weight about 24 lbs or so. I have the air elite model and I think it weighs around 17lbs. Mine does tend to slide a bit while climbing. I need to sharpen my tree braces. However, I've used the grand ol man and didn't have the slipping problem. Also, it seems to slip on bigger trees, and I am infamous for climbing trees that are too big:) They are a great stand, top of line. |

I have to agree with what Double said. I bought one this year and it is unbelievably comfortable and easy to set up.
My only complaint would be the weight. |
RE: Ol' Man Climbers

Hmmm...Let's see... "despite the weight...slips..." etc.etc. Go with Summit!

i bought the ol man vision several years ago and added the padded seat/back cushion and can stay in it all day.

RE: Ol' Man Climbers
this year you should be anble to get a ti. ol'man. that will cut the weight
alot for a little more money if you are willing to come off the hip. as far as the summit it is a comfortable stand that doubles as a musical instriment! |
RE: Ol' Man Climbers
I sat from dark to dark on my ol' man climber several times this season. I got it for just that purpose--when sitting all day was a necessity. It was very comfortable. For me, anything less than a 50 lbs backpack isn't a problem to carry in on my back so weight wasn't a problem. It's quiet too, but you need a flashlight to see the holes in the dark.
