GOT MY STEALTH STABILIZER!!!! WOW!!!!! PICS!!!!
Hey guys,
Today I got my bow all figured out and paper tuned! Last night I made a STUPID mistake! I was paper tuning and trying to adjust for a right tear, well, I moved my rest to the left!!! DUH, wrong way! Anyways, I got it all set-up today and it is paper tuned, and there is no fletch contact! This thing is shooting darts. Anyways, I finished tuning it and about half an hour later my cusom 4" Stealth Stabilizer arrived. I put it on and shot it in my basement! Instantly I noticed that the noise was cut down a pretty good amount, but the handshock is entirely gone, not a vidration at all. Well, I took it outside to test the noise, brick walls in a basement aren't exactly "sound friendly". I went out to 25 yards and shot!!! WOW!!!!!!!! I didn't think that a SUPER quiet bow could get much quieter, but it did!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This thing is like a whisper outsite! The balance this stab gives me is perfect. 4" and 6 ounces! I am ENTIRELY happy with this stabilizer and I can't believe that I didn't get one last year!!!! Here are some pics of it on the bow!!!! THANK YOU JERRY, the stabilizer is more than I could have asked for. Another big thanks to Matt for the help, I really appreciate it. So guys, what do you think? Think it will do the job this spring on a turkey? How bout a deer this fall? :D:D |

RE: GOT MY STEALTH STABILIZER!!!! WOW!!!!! PICS!!!!
Hey Buck Magnet
GOOD LOOKING BOW! It seems you do a fair amount of "paper tuning" It can be a chore changing the paper shot after shot, What kind of a set up do you use to hold the paper in front of your target? Thanks |

Oldguy,
I learned all the "tips" from the tech guy at my old pro-shop. He is a great guy, and a great friend. He told me how to build a stand like his. It is made of PVC pipe and the overall stand is about 6 feet high. Then, behind that, there is chains comming to suspend the bag target at the height that you want it! All you do is stretch paper across the pvc stand and move the stand away from the hanging target! Step back, level your arm out, get the right anchor, make sure that you aren't moving, and slowly squeeze the trigger. It is a great set-up that is very easy to use, plus it isn't expensive! |

nubo,
The 6" Stealth should do the job great. My 4" was noticeably better than the 7" 9.2 ounce Doinker stabilizer that I had on my MightyMite last year! I am sure there are other guys out there who have the 6" Stealth Hunter on Pat Dually's!!!!!! Matt/PA has a 6" Stealth on his Liberty! You might want to talk to him as I am sure he would be able to give you some more info. P.S. I will try to get some pics up later, but I have other plans tonight. The set-up is pretty simple though. Take two PVC pipes that abour about 24" long and use those at the "feet". In the center of those you will have the other pvc pipe comming straight up until the height that you want! Then, you simply have a pvc pipe at the top connecting the two! I have large brown packing paper that I stretch across to shoot through, but newspaper will also work. |
RE: GOT MY STEALTH STABILIZER!!!! WOW!!!!! PICS!!!!
Thank's buck that sounds pretty simple to me I'm sure I can put this together without screwing it up.
Thank's nubo |
RE: GOT MY STEALTH STABILIZER!!!! WOW!!!!! PICS!!!!
;) Good luck with the new set-up Buck Magnet. Keep us posted on that sweet spot you found towards the end of your season. I have a feeling it's just their winter haunt, but I am curious and hope that I am wrong.

Buck Magnet, What is so special about the Stealth Hunter as opposed to other stabilizers i.e. Carolina's Lore Stabilizer, Alpine etc.?

RE: GOT MY STEALTH STABILIZER!!!! WOW!!!!! PICS!!!!
jimpok,
I'll definetly keep an eye on that area. I havn't been back there yet, but I am planning on going back once the snow melts to check for some sheds! I think that this will be a great area for late archery here in PA! Geronimo, I don't know exactly what is inside the stabilizer, but it works. I do know that it is a dual chamber stabilizer that is deisgned to remove the different frequencies that your bow and accessories put out! I am sure if you e-mail Jerry about it, he will be able to give you some more info..... you can e-mail him at [email protected] |

Two comments:
One, nice little stubby ya got going there....:) Two, why is it that you always post your thread titles in caps? On a more serious note, I am glad to hear the stealth is working out for you. I pretty much assumed from Matt's comments that the stabilizer worked well. Next time I am out at Cabelas I should pick up the 6 inch model. |
RE: GOT MY STEALTH STABILIZER!!!! WOW!!!!! PICS!!!!
Thanks Buck Magnet, I just e-mailed Jerry. I forgot to ask why the 4 in. instead of the 6 in.?
|
RE: GOT MY STEALTH STABILIZER!!!! WOW!!!!! PICS!!!!
Frank, I don't know why, don't really have a reason why, so, well just say that it is my "trademark" :D
Geronimo, I went with the 4" because I didn't need alot of weight up front! I wanted a slooooow forward fall, and this combo gives me that! The 4" only weighs 6 ounces and it really gives a nice stable feel to this bow!! P.S. My best friend came over today and I had hit shoot the bow. His first comment about the stabilizer was "Okay, its nice and all, but that thing can't work wonders on that bow"..... well, he shot it and his mouth dropped!!! |
RE: GOT MY STEALTH STABILIZER!!!! WOW!!!!! PICS!!!!
