RE: Average size of bucks?

It sure can vary alot, even in fairly close geographies. Here in Wisconsin, a "big" buck in the central part of the state may be in the high 180-190 to maybe 200 something dressed. Up in the snow belt where the deer need to survive some nasty stuff, a "big" buck will dress in the low 200's to mid 200's. The largest I have personally seen was 266 dressed. I have seen photos of a deer from way back when that was weighed at 400+ plus, "not" field dressed, but it was friggen huge. To honestly weigh up in these numbers the deer not only has to be very stout, it must be a long animal as well.

if iam wrong then you can tell me but i have read that corn put bigger antlers on there head but the body weight doent get bigger but food plot put bigger antles an body weight those deer are over 200 pound though by looking at the picture
Id have to disagree with you on the corn grows bigger horns....
have you ever seen cattle raisers do what i call a beefing up of cattle before they are taken to market.... they feed them CORN
also corn isnt really a factor in antler growth.
