NEW USER

HELLO ALL,

I HAVE BEEN READING THIS FORUM FOR SOME TIME NOW. I FINALLY DECIDED TO JOIN IN. THERE SEEMS TO BE A WEALTH OF INFORMATION HERE. I HOPE THAT EVERYONE HAD A GOOD SEASON. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO READING ALL OF YOUR POSTS DURING THE OFF SEASON. I HOPE I DON'T MAKE ANY MISTAKES, BECAUSE SOME OF YOU GUYS REALLY JUMP ON A GUY WITH BOTH FEET. I AM THINKING OF CHANGING FROM ALUMINUM TO CARBON ARROWS. I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR ANY INPUT ANYONE HAS ON THE GOLD TIP ARROWS. THANKS ALOT.

RE: NEW USER

My advise would be to try them all. I have been hunting for years, now and still can't make up my mind there are pro's and cons to each of them. But, try them both, you will not regret it. I have switched from using carbons last year back to Aluminum this year.

Yes, there is always a wide range of opinions here. That is what keeps this board going and I welcome it. Remember that archery is a lot about presonal preferences, and if something works for you then stick with it.

Welcome.

welcome to the board

I use gold tips and personally I think you wont go wrong with them I have put mine through some rough treatment and they have stood up.
just one thing tho if you are going to be doing a lot of target practice put some soap on them or car polish it makes them a little easier to get out of the target

Goldtips. Mtn Archery has the best price, sometimes $49.00 per doz.

Welcome to the board CUTNRUN you will find a lot of good info here, I have only shot aluminum so far, so I can not comment on what you asked. In regards to getting jumped on here, don't worry about it, during the off season some of us get a little bored not getting our dose of hunting so some can be irratable.

Welcome CUTNRUN,I'm new to the boards here myself.Don't worry about any of these guys jumping on ya to hard, heck most of 'em don't really know what they are talking about anyway.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

As far as the carbon arrows go....try 'em.A quality carbon shaft is truly hard to beat.I don't use Gold Tips, instead I choose CX 3D Selects, but I know several bowhunters who have had NO problems with either of these super shafts.Good luck
