2-man ladder stands - need input please
Will be getting one soon. Have been looking at the Big Game stands and see they range in price, but have the same weight ratingof 500#. I realize platform size is different and prefer the bigger platform, but is it worth the extra bones? The ones that cost more look more sturdy but I can't tell from a pic. This is priority over price for me as my son and occasionally my wife will be joining me (she doesn't like ladders BTW, espcially unsturdy ones). Also, being able to bow hunt out of the thing is obviously important too. Thanks for any input.

RE: 2-man ladder stands - need input please
I have a two man ladder stand (12'). It is roomy especially if you are a big person. I prefer the "whitetail" 16' one man ladder stand I bought from Cabela's. It has a generous platform that goes all the way back to the tree, and the seat flips up. It's great for bow hunting and is a very sturdy set up. I have mine in a pine tree that whips around pretty good in heavy winds, and feel very secure in it. It also comes with a chest safety harness. I also have a cheaper 14' single ladder from Wal-Mart......no comparison......

have the big game double, very sturdy stand, the front rail flips up for bow hunting, lots of room, the only addition i made was i put a plywood backrest on it,(comfy) its a hand full getting up, used my climber to install a hook and pulley system, takes two or more to get it there but it is worth it.

Donald - is that the one with the double rail for hand grips on the ladder? This one looks more sturdy to me.
