RE: WOW!!!!!!!!STEALTH CAM TAKES A BEATING!!!!!!!
smoke,
That is it. This past summer I was going to get a Non-Typical DC-200 but I decided to try one of the Stealths out before I dropped the extra $$$ on the Non-Typical. Well, I was so happy with it that I bought another one (which I sold in order to make some room for the Digital Stealth Cam that I am gonna be getting soon). One thing that I am gonna try when I set it out next time is to take a small piece of tape and put it on each side of the sensor. The sensor has a wide range and as you can see in these pics, the deer can be at the edges of the pics. I would like the sensor to be a little tighter, but for $65.00 I can't complain, plus, all it takes is some tape. :D |

I have one and have been very happy with it. Just be careful( like it says on the directions) and make sure it isn't facing west. I have 24 very pretty pics of the sitting sun. But that was my fault not the cams

Buck Magnet , got a couple questions for ya . I put out 2 game cams last week . I put them 6 feet up and angeled them downward about 15 degrees . On one there was no shots , it looked as thou nothing had moved in front of it . The other was on an active trail it said 17 on the counter but I got zero pics , I may have had it in the test mode , or for some other reason . Do you position your cam in this manor or do you place it level at 4 to 5 feet up the tree ?

ijimmy, I usually keep mine level and put it between 36"-42" off the ground, I just guess the height the deer is gonna be at if he/she is standing right in front of the camera, and that is where I set it. It has worked good for me so far. I have had my camera set at angles a few times but didn't like it. The pics always looked weird with deer walking at angles, and it didn't seem to get as many pics.
One thing too look at is if your camera is entirely waterproof. If any water gets in, it could freeze and prevent the camera for advancing film. |
RE: WOW!!!!!!!!STEALTH CAM TAKES A BEATING!!!!!!!
Thanks for the tips Buck Magnet , I'll definately use them . I'm new to this game cam thing , and you seem to be the resident expert on them . The pictures you get are awesome , and I'd like to see what some of the "stealth bucks" look like aroud my hunting area . I'll probably have to wait now thou ,as I'm sure they have droped their horns around my part of the country , by the way we had a high temp of 84 today .
