Which laser rangefinder?
 

I want a laser rangefinder for hunting both bow and gun. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am looking at the $200 price range, but would be very glad to spen a lot less on a good product.

I have to personally second that notion, NIKON 400...
I got one this year and love it.... Ya just cant beet it for the price...
You just have to learn to trust it.. No more guessing at yardage.. Just get your ranges within your shooting ability and your set... You can pretty much set up a peremiter around you knowing what the yarage are...

You deffinatley can't go wrong...[:-]

I was looking at the Nikon 400. I like it. The reason I am getting one is for the west. If I am in the woods, I can judge yardage fine, but looking across a valley, I am way off.

I've used several and my pick is the Leica. The smaller ones are better to carry, but don't seem to read smaller targets as well.

I like my Bushnell Yardage Pro Scout.

Throw my vote in for the Bushnell Yardage Pro Sport. Distance and accuracy of this unit are more than satisfactory for bowhunting plus the price is around $170 most places.

I have to throw another plug in for the Bushnell Yardage Pro Sport. I've used mine for 4 years and have had no problems with it. Sometimes in the very low light it is hard to get a reading but I believe that would be the case with most rangefinders. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

I like my bushnell yardage pro sport as well, cheap and works well.

How well does the Pro Sport work for mule deer at say, 450yards? I like the price, but not the 4x lens.

I have pretty much narrowed my selection down to: (random order)

1. Bushnell Yardage Pro Scout for $250 at cabelas. 6x. 570 yards.
2. Nikon Buckmasters 400 for $200. 8x. 437yards.
3. Nikon Laser 600 for $270. 6x. 600 yards. (but a little over my price)
4. Bushnell Yardage Pro Sport for $150. 4x. 450yards.

I will have to look around and see what I can get these for.

Does anyone not like any of these rangefinders for any reason?
