Food for the winter
 

I posted a question like this earlier but did not get the info i wanted out of it because i was in a rush. I was curious as to what people would put out for deer right now to help them through the winter. this winter looks like it is turning out to be a lot hard than the years before. I think i am going to get a mineral block but i am not sure what kind to get. I want to help give the nutrients that they will need to be nice and healthy for the rest of the winter but still start to grow some of the next years bucks. last report, a nice 8 point made it through the gun season so i will be looking for him this fall. Should i put out corn or apples or minerals or what? any suggestions are more than welcome.

A game officer i hunt with has been putting out corn now, but they are used to it for years now and they know to go there in the winter time to get something to eat.;)

corn, protein supplemental food and basically any thing that will help the deer out. I personally use lots of corn and mineeral blocks, and electric feeders with a mixture blends. The winters here are tough on deer too. to get the bye till snow melts and they can use the food plots . good luck!!.

my brother & i have been putting corn out for about 2 months will start soon mixing it with deer pellets than when the snow melts we,ll put out some powdered mineral with low salt %
