Two Beards

I've been trying the last couple of weeks to fill my fall turkey bow tag...little tougher than spring hunting and colder,too!

I leave in a few days for Arizona to hunt whitetails (coues deer) with my buddy,so I've been busy packing, shipping,and getting my bow ready. Wish me luck...I'm gonna need it!

I was out Dec 31st and had a doe and 2 fawns in front for an hour, but I'm not interested in breaking up their family I can wait till next season for that buck. If a doe had come in by herself I might have taken her.
The wind was heavy and it was snowing hard. Severel times I couldnt see them and they were only 30yrds away. I was truly surprised that they would be out in that crappy weather. I wouldn't have been there myself but I was bored at home and needed to get out. I'm glad I went out now because now I know that deer will be out in that sort of weather .

All deer hunting in WI is not closed, nub.
Unit 77M is open for bow hunting to Jan 31st 2002 for either Buck or Doe plus bonus permits.
I'll be out several more times this season, Thank you.

Our season ended today. Filled my doe tag on Sunday. Just grilled a tenderloin tonight. Needless to say that I am stuffed as I write this.
