How many of you would like to do this
I have always dreamed of hunting without technology. I would go out in the woods and scout for signs. No cameras, gps to plot tracks, or maps. I would want to make my own bow and arrows with arrow heads and my own cover scent.. Make my own camo out of leaves and make my own stand. I think it would be more rewarding doing it how the indians did it instead of using the modern technology. I would be prepared in the case of an accident, though. Is there anyone else that is interested in it?

Believe it or not i wouldnt mind trying that someday. When i was younger my dad and I went hiking and one time got lost when he dropped his compass, breaking it on a rock. We were lost maybe several hours but good think i have good sense of direction because i found the way back to the campsite. I wouldnt mind trying to hunt like that someday but I would be prepared very much so if i ever did get lost (pack some flare guns in the pack for example lol)

I still use alluminum arrows tho. I can't believe how some people actually buy feeders and continually replace the feed. Are you rich? I don't even own a tree stand but I sometimes will climb up into trees. Cut branches to make seats and platform and tie it all together. it works. Just really hard to find the right tree where it's possible to make a decent one on. I wonder what some of those pigs that make the tracks look like? A trail cam sure would be cool. Maybe one day.

Thats a cool idea but if your making your own bow I would make a nice recurve from a kit. I think if you just widdled a branch a slapped a string on there you would be wounding animals.

When I talk to my brother about bowhunting sometimes he says it would be neat to make my own bow, arrows, and chip out an arrow head to hunt with to kill a deer. I tell him, if the Indians could have gotten compound bows, they would have used them.
