Treestand
I am looking for a treestand. I need to be able to climb up the tree with it. It needs a seat, back rest, platform for standing when bow hunting, no rest for guns, I prefer arm rests. Budget : $200. Thanks P.S. Weight is not a matter.

Zak, don't take offense to this because I don't mind helping people out and there are alot of good, knowledgeable people on here that don't mind answering questions but if you would do a simple search or look back a few pages most of the info. is already there and you don't have to start all these new threads. BTW, I like Summit but most of them are < $200.

RE: Treestand
zak, it sounds like you want the summit cobra. It cost $220

RE: Treestand
I second FUJ's idea. Spend the extra 20 bucks and get the Viper. It will be worth it. So comfortable you'll fall asleep. Not too heavy. Reasonably quiet. I think you'll like it!

RE: Treestand
You could try looking at NorthStar stands. I am a fan of Summit since I got mine this year. By far the best stand I've had in over 30 years. One thing they include is one of the best safety harnesses, so you might consider that when you look at price.
I'm not a real fan of buying from Cabela's or Bass Pro though. Their prices are as close to retail as you will see. I work at a Gander Mt. store and our price for the Summit Cobra is $199. The Viper XLS, which I prefer, is $229. You might try Keystone Country Store, or sometimes there are good deals on www.treestands.com |
RE: Treestand
All 3 of the stands i suggested are under $200, where did you get that Bass Pro and Cabelas are too close to retail price? :)

RE: Treestand
Thanks you guys. On the viper doesn't the bar get into the way of bow hunting. I want to stand when I draw.
