bowhunting
I just wanted to say that I hope everybody did well this past season. And I wanted to encourage everyone who has children to take them out.I did just that this yr.with my daughter. And the bond that we already have, just got stronger.we connected on a new level.I can't decribe the feeling. It was so special to me because I never had my father or mother to take me out and teach me.I learned on my own.If we want the hunting to still be around,we all need to teach the next generation.we all will benefit, adult and child.

Could not agree with you more. Don't forget about a friend that is just starting out. I stuck mine in a prime location where I hunt, and he shot his first with a bow. The excitement he had and the feeling I got was priceless.

RE: bowhunting
I just got into bowhunting. When my 5 yr old son saw my bow, he wanted one. Now we're flinging arrows together in the back yard and at the range. I got him a Seneca kids bow in camo (just like dad's). He needed string silencers, too (just like dad's). He feels he's ready to go hunt some animals now. LOL. I can't wait until he is!! The outdoors and hunting sure beat the hell out of sitting in front of the tube or video games as so many kids do these days. I get more enjoyment out of my son hitting the target than I do from keeping my arrows in the x ring. You'd fall asleep before finishing this post if I wrote everything I feel about spending time with your kids.

RE: bowhunting
My son is totally into archery. I just ordered him the Matthews Genesis. It is going to be awsome to watch him develop his skills on a really nice youth bow.

EXCELLENT POST HUNTFLINGER! If everyone had their heads on as you and most of us that take time in these sites do, we would not have the problems we have these days! I have been bowhunting since 1965 and have taught my Son & wife and advised many others this fine sport over these years. I am proud to say archery is a very "bonding activity" as is most hunt/fish/outdoor related activity. We are very lucky to have been associated ouselves with folks that cared for our own futures, to have taught us on the Great Outdoor experiences! All of us that read posts as yours feel a high sense of gratification and pride when "one of our own" as you are, brings these events in your life to light! Thankyou for sharing your experiences!! There are folks that CARE! US! The Lab-Man |

RE: bowhunting
I had the extreme pleasure of taking my nephew out for the first time this season. It was the most fun hunting I ever had. Next year his brother comes with for his first hunt. I'm more excited about that than anything else.
