Scent reducing sprays
 

O.K.FOLKS....I've gotten to the point where I think cover scents are just about as bad as my own scent,so I'm starting to stay away from them. Really prefer to just go in clean.
My question is how good do you think the scent eliminators(sp) are?
Have you ever had a chance to say HEY THIS REALLY SAVED ME TODAY! Or is just to comfort our minds? Just want to know your opinion.

I really do believe that they help......the one I really like and trust the most is Wildlife Research "Scent Killer" Autumn formula.....that stuff just smells flat out like dirt and leaves. I spray everything down with it when my clothes are hanging and just prior to entering the woods.
The "Scent Shield" version just smells "Fake" to me.......

i too like the scent killer,it does have a "natural" woodsy scent to it...but im not a deer either

I've been a fan of the so called "scent eliminators" since they came out,but this past season I truly did use one that I thought "WOW,this stuff really does work" and work it did time and time again.Carbon Blast works!!! Who cares if its a little messy if it is several times better than anything I've ever used.

I to believe in them(ONLY ONE OF THEM)
H.S. Sent-away,is the only one for me.
I have used others but sent-away is for me.
I take my clothes and hang them outside and spray them real good,roll them and put away,wnenI get to the woods I lightly spray them again then my hats and boots,gloves,fannypack,and anything that goes into my stand.
I buy sent-away by the Gal.then I but one small bottle of sent-away earth and mix with the oringal formula,that way the earth sent is not to strong.I get the sent-away powder for the inside of my boots.
if I do it every time I mean every time,I have never had a deer sent me.
I'm not saying the others don't work,just not as well for me.and there is no mess.

Hey scottsman I use the Wildlife Research scent killer autumn spray and believe that it helps a graet deal. This past Nov. I harvested a P&Y buck that was chasing following a doe and they both came in from down wind at 25 yards.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Ive tried scent a way, scent killer, and scent shield, and I like scent killer adn scent away the best.

Do a little test. As all of us know gasolene on our hands stays with you even after washing with a bar of soap. If you and I can smell it then you know a deer will smell it along with other smells on our clothes and body. Try sticking a finger in gas and then spraying it with a scent eliminator after the gas dries to see if it works. I think you will be surprised.

I personally dont use them. I was my clothing in scent free soap and wash myself in the same.
Beeg, dont make use go out and buy some scent killer to do you test. Share with the class :)
