I agree with Stealthman, Nebraska IMO is the most under-rated state for scoring on a huge buck. If you go there, you'll know what I mean.

There are a few kicking around in Maine but it's definately not the best. Lots of big deer here but not a lot of huge racks. We need more farm with high quality feed the deer can feed on.

well i know the question was what state would produce big bucks but i'd like to pick a few provinces. #1 i would say saskatchewan especially in the northern regions we have some real bruisers. #2 i would say alberta though i have never hunted there i have seen in magazines and heard of real big boys comin out from that province.

Gotta vote for the great state of Illinois.
I hunt Pike and Calhoun. I usually see several P&Y and even a few Booners each year. One of my guys killed a Booner in Calhoun this year and my nephew got one in Pike.
Some of the biggest sheds I have seen came from little-known McDonough County.
Good luck!

Funny you should ask this because I was at Borders Books the other day looking through a deer book and remember seeing the statistics on this.
Since statistics are really all that matter, the trophy goes to Iowa with the highest number of trophy buck taken to licenses sold. We here in PA were near the middle with 1 in every 8000 licenses producing a trophy. The odds are tough!

It would probably be west central Illinois. I hunt out there and have seen ALOT of BIG BIG bucks!! I'v also heard there are alot of good bucks up in canada too. Seems colder climates produce bigger animals.

Having now hunted in Kansas and living in KY...I'd have to say SW Kansas. I just never saw so many large bucks in one place. KY aint bad either though.
