I just heard the other day of an article that Chuck Adams wrote where it was nearly impossible to kill an elephant with a bow. Most the time, from what was said, the archer shoots, then the PH shoots it with a gun. He said there is a window of like an inch between the ribs to get in the vitals. I dont know about trying to hunt elephants with a bow.

My question is who the hell makes a bow with 105. The only company that I know of that is close is Bowtech with the Samson. They say it pulls up to 100.

As for missing the elephant perhaps the elephant did one of those matrix moves where he just twisted out of the way while watching the arrow go bye.

Sounds like if he was having that hard a time pulling back the weight, he does not shoot much. He should probably be practicing more to build up.

It's not legal where I hunt. The state of Maine strictly prohibits the shooting of elephants.

Stalker... some of the bow manufacturers like PSE will custom make whatever you want to your specs. All you have to do is pay for it.

Ever see one of them bigguns jump the string? They can duck 8ft. in 3/10 of a second.[] Obviously he just didnt aim low enough.
