Its definetly HUNTING! Its absolutely a blast and a great way to keep your arm in shape in the off season. I hunt Minnesota and an average 5 to 7 hour day will give me 70 to 120 shots. LOTS OF ACTION! Its extremely addicting!

A few tips - Don't use your good deer hunting bow. Go find a cheap used compound. The bows get slimey and beat up. Just a kisser button, no peep sights(shots are quick) Just a single steel pin painted white. ( it shows up the best on water) The rest - a bowfishing Whisker Bisquit. The reel - a AMS Retreiver Reel. No drag on the arrow and very quick bring arrows back in. Thats important when making 100 shots. Muzzy's new carbon bowfishing arrow or their Penetrator arrow (solid glass with a Aluminum sleeve) are very good. Make sure you use the AMS safety slide system on your arrow. If you have an old bow the set-up might cost $80 - $85.

The last tip.................SHOOT LOW...........sometimes you feel like you're shooting at your feet!

GOOD LUCK!
