stealth cam mystery
This picture has me baffled. It certainly looks like a deers ear but the two long protrusions coming out..........are thoose legs like it is bucking? And below the protrusions it looks like maybe the head of another deer. You can see what appear to be the antlers of a small spike buck and the white on the snoot. Anyone agree or see something else?.............dabow

RE: stealth cam mystery
I think it is a small bird or a grasshopper ,looks like legs underneath..could be a leaf.??????????????????????????????
I had one that looked something like that and it was a leaf.it only showed up in two pics. The rest of the roll was clear. |
RE: stealth cam mystery
I don't see the other deer you are talking about, but what it looks like to me is a fox sniffing at your camera. That is his right ear and wiskers. I know you are going to say that they are too big to be wiskers, but remember, this picture was taken just mere inches from the camera lens. You can tell because of the distortion. That is why the wiskers look so thick (they are blurred). Try not to think of the "legs" or "spikes" in terms of actual length. They are actually only a couple inches long. They just look bigger because they are so close to the camera. My brother in law is a profesional photographer and he agreed with me, but then again I am sure someone else will see something different. It's all opinion. Good luck and maybe you'll get a better picture down the road.

RE: stealth cam mystery
I finally figured it out...it is a Opossum falling out of the tree. What we see is a view from above him. That is the top of his head and his front legs and you can see his tail curled under him. I saw him coming out a brush pile right next to the camera. The flash must have made him jump............
